Mardi Gras

Modernist Punchbowl and Roly-Poly Glasses with Platinum Banding by Dorothy Thorpe (LEO Design)

Today is Mardi Gras—"Fat Tuesday"—the last day to celebrate before Lent begins tomorrow, Ash Wednesday.  It's the day when all the household's fats, meats, sweets and other indulgences are consumed or thrown away. A big Mardi Gras celebration prepares the family for a properly abstemious Lent.

While we're still having a party, how about a handsome Modernist punchbowl service.  Thick bands of platinum decorate this punchbowl and ten "roly-poly" punch glasses.  Click on the photo above to learn more about it.
