From Arts & Crafts England, a little musical jewel box and a hand-hammered brass tray. The music box, made in the 1920’s or 30’s, is crafted in the form of a planked trunk. It plays Irving Berlin’s popular tune, “Always”, which he wrote and gave as a wedding gift to his bride, Ellin McKay—along with a generous portion of the song’s royalties.
The brass tray, perfect for drinks or on a dressing table, is roughly-hammered and is completed with two riveted brass handles.
These two items—and the rest of the merchandise acquired on this buying trip—will be in-store, cleaned and priced the last week of October. They will also be added to the on-line shop shortly thereafter. Please come into the shop to see them or check the on-line shop to purchase them.
More from the road tomorrow.
