Like the Norwegian copper plate presented yesterday, this one is also from the early Twentieth Century. It is English Arts & Crafts and the hand-hammered repoussé work takes the form of a border of scrolling grape vines—complete with leaves and clusters of fruit. First crafted in brass, then silver-plated, parts of the underlying metal have begun to shine-through, the result of years of polishing.
