This handsome and triumphant lion was cast of brass, in England, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo (18 June 1815). The original monument atop the "Lion's Mound" in Waterloo, Belgium, was sculpted by Jean-Louis Van Geel (1787-1852). (2" x 2.5" x 1.5") sc13063b
