This Turn-of-the-Century French bronze photo frame—dressed in a layer of gilt—is fashioned in the Louis Seize (that's King Louis XVI) Late-Eighteenth Century style. A delicately ambitious "brocade" pattern embellishes the frame while a cast laurel wreath crowns its top. This Neoclassical frame will stand atop a table or hang on the wall. It is marked "B&B" which is most likely the store for which it was produced (rather than the maker's mark). It holds a 7" x 9" image. (Overall: 12" x 8.5" - Opening: 7.5" x 5.5") pf13224d
