English Brass Shop Bell

English Brass Shop Bell

Regular price $195.00

This Victorian English brass shop bell—dated 25 October 1878—screws into the "head jamb" (the top, horizontal portion) of the door frame.  The "tongue plate" attaches to the door itself.  With every opening swing of the door, the tongue hits the spring-loaded clapper, producing a confident "ding" of the bell.  Perfect in a shop—but also useful to monitor the comings and goings of a kitchen, cellar or other back door.   (3" x 3.5")   da13162c
