These heavy brass fire dogs once stood before an English Arts & Crafts fireplace. Such fire dogs provide decorative punctuation to the hearth, while holding-aloft the fire tools. Scrolling ivy "brackets" rise above stylish, corollate feet. Such fire dogs also can be used to support a glass shelf (not included) to provide height and additional display space for one's collection of books, merchandise, baked goods or other objets d'art.
