Made around the time of the American Civil War, this pair of fire-gilded brass girandole candlesticks features a stylized botanical structure. A crisply-sculpted proud eagle stands guard atop a veined marble base. Ten hand-cut crystal "drops" hang from the sculpted petals of each bobeche. Originally crafted to decorate a Federal style mantelpiece, they would handsomely appoint a room of many varying aesthetics today. (11.75" x 6" x 4") cs13215e
