Like a fanciful stage prop from Puccini's Turandot, this (late) Mid-Century Chinese mirror is fanciful, exotic and a little theatrical. The pierced and carved wooden frame is lacquered and embellished with touches of golden paint. Carved tassels hang along the top and the bottom. And the mirror peeks-out from a cinquefoil opening—reminiscent of a spring plum blossom. (23" x 13") mr13058d
