A pair of Nineteenth Century French wood engravings with Seventeenth Century views of Palais du Louvre in Paris. Drawn by Francois-Auguste Trichon (1814-1898) and engraved in wood by Ferdinand Delannoy (1822-1887). These hand-colored prints, etched in 1881, capture the Porte-Neuve ("the new door"), the Seine's Right Bank, and the historic Louvre Castle under Kings Henri IV, Louis XIII, and Louis XIV.
