This lithograph print by Currier & Ives (NYC)—laboriously hand-colored after printing—portrays "The Little Brothers," dated 1863. This was a time, during the American Civil War, when the fighting was sometimes "brother against brother." The period gold-painted frame (with old glass) has age-spread corner joints but is otherwise strong and stable. Note the old water-staining on the bottom of the print. (16.75" x 12.75") aw13021d
