A stone's throw from the beaches of Normandy stands the Medieval village of Caen, France (with its castle built by William the Conqueror—the Norman warrior who crowned himself King of England). It was here that J. Filmont crafted this handsome French Art Nouveau tapering vase with three small handles. It is glazed in an aqueous, dripping palette of organic blues, greens, tans and browns. It is a handsome example of a small-production, quality ceramics studio. (8.75" x 3") ap13117c
