Wishes for a Sweet New Year!

A Shofar Ram's Horn for Rosh Hashanah (LEO Design)

Shanah Tovah to all and a good Rosh Hashanah!  May the year 5776 be a sweet one!

The name, Rosh Hashanah, roughly translated, means “head of the year,” and marks the start of the Hebrew calendar. It is the first of the High Holy Days and the date which commemorates the creation of Adam and Eve.  Customs include the blowing of the shofar (a ram’s horn, shown above) and the consumption of symbolic foods such as apples dipped into honey (to encourage the sweet new year).  Rosh Hashanah begins today at sundown.

LEO Design will be open today from Noon ’til 6:00.
