Never Too Many

Nineteenth Century Mahogany Octagonal Box with Inlaid Marquetry Trim (LEO Design)

Can one have too many nice boxes—of varying sizes and shapes—positioned around the house, each ready to hide, hold or organize other possessions?  A stack of varied and handsome antique boxes never fails to make an impression.  This Nineteenth Century mahogany box (c. 1860-1880's) is punctuated with crisp bands of inlaid wooden marquetry.  It's lined with green velvet, making it a lovely place to keep one's cufflinks, pearls, or desk-top necessities.  And it would be a terrific (and protective) presentation box for a special wristwatch.  Click on the photo above to learn more about it.
