Springing Goatward

Modernist Stoneware "Aries Ram" Hanging Plaque (LEO Design)

At 11:33 am (Eastern Time) today, the Earth experiences the Vernal Equinox—that Springtime moment when the Earth's tilt is perfectly balanced against the Sun.  Neither the Northern Hemisphere nor the Southern Hemisphere leans closer to the Sun.  The result: the lengths of day and night (on this date) is almost equivalent all around the globe.  It will also be the first day of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere (and the start of Autumn in the South). From this day forward, for three months (until the Summer Solstice), each day will have increasingly longer sunlight hours than darkness.

Today is also the first day of the sun sign Aries.  Aries is the first sign of the Zodiac—a fact befitting of Aries' hard-charging ferocity.  People born under the sun sign Aries are passionate, aggressive, impatient, impulsive, action-oriented, determined and honest, honest, honest.  Aries cannot abide dishonesty or even intentional avoidance.  When an Aries perceives a problem which has not been acknowledged, she or he will never fail to bring-it-up.  Of course, this reflects an Aries sense of truth and correctness—even if s/he risks being called confrontational or impolitic.  Aries love to travel, move, take-action.  But they also need to stop and smell the roses every once and a while, if only to avoid burnout.  And this shouldn't be difficult, for Aries have a great appreciation of art, beauty, sensuality and aesthetics.

The European Modernist bas relief ceramic plaque, shown above, captures the Aries goat in all its strength and determination.  Fitted with a hanging wire, it would be a much-appreciated gift for your favorite Aries.   Click on the photo above to learn more about it.
