Kung Hei Fat Choi!

Japanese Sculpted Brass Pig (LEO Design)

According to the Chinese zodiac, 2019 is The Year of the Pig.  It's the final (twelfth) character of the cycle—since the Pig was the last guest to show-up when summoned by the Jade Emperor.

People born in the year of the pig are down-to-Earth, focussed on their work and tenacious about sticking to their goals. Because of a disciplined work ethic, they are likely to become financially secure (in time), even if born to a poor family. They don't stand out in a crowd and will never be accused of being "all talk, no action."  Pigs also tend to be gentle and quiet. Their patience and desire to be helpful makes them great teachers or coaches. Though pigs are careful with money, they do like comfort and find security being surrounded by their tangible possessions. People born in The Year of the Pig should be careful about eating to many unhealthy foods. Their associated colors are yellow, grey and brown.

The pig above—which is Japanese, not Chinese—is made of hand-sculpted solid brass.  You can learn more about it by clicking on the photo above.
