The Year of the Goat

Year of the Goat Greeting Card by Daniel Joseph Durkin (LEO Design)

Gung Hay Fat Choy!  A happy and prosperous new year to all—especially to all those born in the year of the goat!

The Chinese zodiac is comprised of twelve “signs”—each lasting approximately one year—each represented by a different animal.  People born under a particular sign are thought to share certain characteristics and personality traits with others born in their signs.  “Goats” are believed to be gentle and polite, peace-loving, clever and good at business.  They have a natural appreciation for the arts and greatly appreciate beauty and tranquility.  Alas, they can be overly-sensitive, indecisive, even pessimistic.

People born this year (from today until 7 February 2016)—as well as those born in 1931, 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991 or 2003—are all members of the popular sign of the goat (also called sheep or rams).

Celebrate the New Year with style with our just-received Year of the Goat card, pictured above.  It was created by artist Daniel Joseph Durkin who makes many of the cards we sell at LEO Design.  Please come into the shop to get one for yourself—or visit Dan’s Etsy site by clicking-on the link below.
