Spring is Here!

Art Deco Cufflinks with Violet, Pistachio and White Enameling (LEO Design)

Perfect for spring: a pair of 1920’s Art Deco cufflinks, enameled in violet, pistachio and white.  The decoration is formed as a stylized, oblong quatrefoil around a radiant guilloché design.  The pair—new-received and in-store at LEO Design—evokes the sunny days of a gentle spring.  Or, perhaps, the optimism of an Italian ice cream shoppe.

Please come into the shop to see the wide range of cufflinks we stock—or click upon the photo above to learn more about this particular pair.

Spring begins today at 6:45 pm (Eastern Daylight Savings Time).  At precisely that minute, the Sun will pass over the Earth’s equator in its slow trek to Northern skies.  Because of this positioning, day and night are (approximately) the same length on this day, worldwide (hence the name “Equinox” which means “equal night”).  As the Sun continues Northward, days will become longer and longer (in the Northern Hemisphere) and become shorter and shorter in the South.
