Building a New Century

Bronze-Clad "The Builder" Bookends (LEO Design)

The 1920’s—the period in which these sculptures were made—was “The Golden Age” of bookends.  The decade also anchored the golden age of American skyscraper building.  The War was over, the country was modernizing, and fantastic possibility awaited around every corner (until 1929, of course).  These bronze-clad bookends capture the romantic spirit of physical creation—communicated in a classic, late-Nineteenth Century aesthetic ($595). Please come into the shop to see them—and the rest of our many pairs of handsome vintage bookends.
