Like the Tube map or tea bag advertising or the badge on the hood of an English car, these cufflinks are very 1930’s British. The brown/cream/white enameling—combined with the soft, circular graphic design—screams (with restraint, of course) of that time between the wars when things were looking good and changing for the modern. Straight-forward, sensible, honest—like so much of that period’s British national character.
