In Asia, Valentine’s Day prompts a woman to give a gift to a man. On White Day (one month later) men return the courtesy. In Korea, today is Black Day—and all those who were “uninvolved” or “unlucky” on the previous two holidays commiserate by eating noodles dressed with black bean sauce. Sorry singles, both males and females, spend the day in black clothing, may paint their nails black, and eat black comfort foods (especially the noodle dish mentioned above).
The pottery collection, pictured above, is English from the Turn-of and early Twentieth Century. Please come into the shop to see more of it.
