The LEO in Summer - I

Cast Iron "Crouching Lion" Bookends (LEO Design)

With all due apologies to Henry II, let us have a look at some of The Lions in Summer—at LEO Design.  Over the next few days, we will present some of our favorite felines, currently in-stock in the LEO Design on-line shop.

Shown here, a stalking lion, crouching, creeping, preparing for the strike.  Most lion bookends capture the "Majestic Lion"—a regal feline posing for the sculptor.  Here we see him in-action.  The sculptor has beautifully captured the tense, coiled energy of a big cat—ready to pounce.  Our hunting hero is shown atop a jagged rock, perhaps a jutting cliffside or promontory.  It's a nice, old-fashioned aesthetic, beautifully sculpted in the early Twentieth Century.  Click on the photo above to learn more about it.

More Summer Lions tomorrow and in the days to come.
